Govt. Islamia Graduate College, Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore organized a Dengue Awareness Program to educate students about dengue prevention and promote healthy and safe practices in the community.

The session commenced with Tilawat-e-Quran, followed by Naat-e-Rasool ﷺ and the National Anthem.

The awareness session was conducted by Ms. Tahira Mariam, Health Education Officer, Health & Population Department, Punjab, who provided valuable information about dengue, its prevention, and necessary precautionary measures. She emphasized eliminating standing water, keeping water containers covered, maintaining clean surroundings, and preventing mosquito breeding.

Principal Prof. Dr. Shahida Sohail honoured the session with her gracious prescence. Incharge Dengue Committee Mr. Amir Bedar and Incharge Function Committee Mrs. Aliya along with their committee members and students actively participated in the session. Program hosted by Muhammad Latif Lecturer in Psycholog.

The session concluded with Principal Prof. Dr. Shahida Sohail’s Vote of Thanks, in which she appreciated the guest speaker and participants and emphasized the importance of continued efforts for dengue prevention.

The program concluded with an Awareness Walk on the college premises, in which Worthy Principal, Honorable Speaker, faculty members and students participated to spread the message of dengue prevention and encourage the community to adopt healthy and precautionary practices.
